Preparing for Entrepreneurship Workshop
Tuesday, 10 May 2011 13:02
Part 2 of the initial one held in July 2010 took place on the 2nd April 2011.  In giving a welcome, the Deputy Chairman Trudi Harris encouraged participants to attend all activities being hosted by Council
as our aim was to bring the information to them and create an atmosphere where they could feel free to learn and further their ideas or skills into possible business ventures.

Parliamentary Representative for the area Dr. Hon. Esther Byer-Suckoo was present.  The programme was paused to allow her the opportunity to mingle with attendees.  She encouraged them to make the most of the information being presented and gave them tips on the work ethic needed when starting a business.

On the whole the workshop was a success.  Twenty one participants attended.  The facilitator must be commended for doing an excellent job.  The workshop was very interactive and participants were made to pause at several times to complete practical activities.  They were also committed to setting goals which will be reviewed by the facilitator at a follow up session.

Council members present were Wesley Carter, Shernell Codrington, Trudi Harris, Ashley John, Rudolph Moore, and Shawn Wilson.
