The St. George North Constituency Council held a Town Hall Meeting to joining in the nationwide fight to eradicate the Giant African Snail and Rats from the community on the 27th August 2010 at the Newbury Nazarene Church. This is the second of such meetings throughout the community. The meeting allowed persons from the community to participate in helping in this worthwhile endeavour.

St. Michael South East - Town Hall Meeting

The St. Michael South East Constituency Council hosted a town hall meeting for residents of that area on the 14th August 2010 at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic.

oas_jul_2010_newsMembers of four of the newly established Constituency Councils got the chance to speak about the programmes which they have developed to empower vulnerable persons in our society.

This opportunity came yesterday, as Director of the Organisation of American States' Barbados office, Francis McBarnett, Chilean Social Worker, Paola Barros, and officials from the Ministry of Social Care and the Constituency Empowerment Department, visited districts within the City, St. Michael North West, St. John and St. Philip North constituencies.
